Anyway... About Thew from 1096. Hes an AWESOME rider, as we all know... and has a goofy sense of humor just like me and most of you out there reading this. He was completely joking with his comment... you know how I know this? Heres the proof...
Well...Thew is one of the nicest, most down to earth guys and least conceited. I have 2 examples to share...
One is a year ago. I was hosting a ride my my house... GMO, 1096, D-Mann, Yates from XMS, ValpoBoyz, etc etc all came out. We had never seen the 1096 guys ride before. Never really heard about em... just another so called extreme group right? WRONG!!! So we are all sittin there eating our eggs for breakfast and Thew and Gorka were there chillin & talking about riding with the crowd waiting to ride out. Just some of the guys. DUDE WE HAD NO IDEA!! We all hung out and then out to ride 60 deep from my pad... Out of no where like 20 miles away on the highway Thew and Gorka start pullin out the sickest **** I had ever seen!! So we pull into a gas station and what do they talk about? They compliment me on my tricks! I was like... OMG you could kick my *** on a bike... and you compliment little ole Shugga? Thats story # 1 when i met them and learned how damn cool they are!
Story #2... My new buisness venture StuntLife was growing and I needed a storefront location. I really wanted to have some pimp stunters there to make it that much cooler... I called Thew and he said FOR SURE he's coming to play for a bit at my grand opening... Guess what he charged me? NOTHING!! Dude drove 5 hours by himself to hang out and meet people at my store's grand opening for FREE!! How many guys do YOU know that would do that??
Anyway... thats my little piece about this... Just lettin you all know that his little joke was just taken the wrong way. One of the problems with posting stuff online... cant hear the tone of voice...

i in no way meant my comment as a slash at anybody i was actually complementin thew on his championship i was just tryin to state that all people are gonna have there favorites.. for example my favorite football team always has been the chicago bears, they won what 3 games this year there still my favorite but that doesnt make them the best right now (but u wait there gonna win 4 games next year and then that will make them the best lol) what i meant by my comment was a statement of fact, as far as a yard stick for competition the xsba events are really the only "season" we have in this sports, and over the period of that season for that year thew gained the most points and won the championship, thus awarding him the status of best PROFESSIONAL rider of the year (big ups to u for that thew) now we could all argue about whos STYLE we PERSONNALLY may like the best but as far as points thew took it and u cant argue with that period.
on a personnal note my favorites are all the guys out there pavin the way for this sport, but also takin the time to help those of us who dont have (or may never have) there skills when it comes to bikes, the guys who dont forget where this all started and how they started without those of u in the sport who are well on there way, helpin and bein cool to those of us who still have that rode to travel the sport would cease to be fun and alot of us might not feel that competition stsus is attainable for us....... so to those pros who keep us little guys in mind, ull always be the best riders in my eyes
