Re: NEW GSXR Streetfighter project from RMSinc

WOW that is crazy! I was thinking of using the same tail on my 02 gixxer last night. Started fabbing a steel sub frame so figured might as well do sumthing different but I guess the idea isnt so different after all. haha
How did u get the swing arm to mate up? and how r u gunna get the buell caliper on?

Re: NEW GSXR Streetfighter project from RMSinc

the steel sub frame was easy as hell to fab up/modify. i can make one for your 02 if you want. the swingarm wouldve been easy using a stock rim/tire, but the big rim/tire made for a lot of modification to the swingarm and the frame as well. i havent figured out what im doing for the front caliper yet. but most likely using the stock buell and fabbing an adapter will be the easiest

I bet that enormous donk wheel did complicate things. I figured it would b easiest to just mill a bracket adapter for the caliper out of alum but a trellis steel bracket would be trick. Kinda match the swing arm.
Na I dont even have the cash for more tubing to build mine yet haha. Got parts to sell 1st. I'll be doing my sub alil different. Lookin for strength for 12 bar slams and rigidity for standers etc. but thats not high on my priorities list. Still gotta get a chain for the big sprocko set up and get a handbrake, new upper tree for the usd forks and prolly weld up sum short risers for FMF fat bars or the like. If u have another duci swingarm or fairings sittin around I might b interested. Im planning to rebuild my bike over the winter
Lookin forward to seein progress on ur inspiring build

Sweet man. Post the **** up over on customfighters.com Someone over there was making brackets to fit the perimeter Buell brake on standard forks.

I'm building a 90 GSXR with a 1098 Tail & sub with a VFR SSSA.
