In dash DVD player w/ remote

It is the same as the one in this auction
http://cgi.ebay.com/JENSEN-VM-9311-7...d=p3286.c0.m14

I bought it for my truck, but I am selling the truck, so I pulled it out. If you have a Chevy/GMC truck it will come wired to plug directly into your stock wiring harness. Any other truck and you will need the wiring kit that they sell at any walmart/best buy.

Works great with an Ipod.

$225 shipped or possible trade for 03/04 636 parts

Re: In dash DVD player w/ remote

Send me some actual pics to jdhuntn@hotmail.com and also is the wiring harness set-up for an 05 Chevy Truck with the 6 disc changer? Just wondering since you said it was set-up for your Chevy Truck. Let me know and I might take it off your hands.

Thanks Justin

There is a link that has some actual pics of the unit with the screen open. I already have it out of my truck, so the only pics I have are of it closed.

I will have to look and see what year vehicles the wiring kit fits. If it doesnt fit your year the kits are cheap from any electronics store.

Re: In dash DVD player w/ remote

So this unit does not have any water damage from any rainfall while the truck was damaged by the tree, right? Just wondering. Also is the screen in good condition and not all scratched up? Where does the module go for the player when the actuall head unit is installed? Let me know and also what year and model was your truck?

Thanks Justin

No water ever got into the truck. The screen is in good condition. You can mount the module anywhere you want to. I mounted it behind the dash and just ran the ipod wire out.

The truck it came out of is a 95 Gmc Sierra. My buddy has the same unit in his 03 Silverado.

Re: In dash DVD player w/ remote

yes it will. You have to run a switch to make it think the parking brake is set, but that is simple.

Thanks

Re: In dash DVD player w/ remote

There is a parking brake wire from the radio. You run that to your switch, and then the other terminal of the switch goes to a ground. I hid the switch on the under side of the dash.

Then whenever you turn on the radio with a dvd there will be a blue screen that comes up and says "engage parking brake...." You flip the switch on and then off and it plays. I think there is another way to do it without a switch, but that is the way I did it.

Sounds just like hooking up light's for a bike, when you want them fully on or fully off! LOL. Thanks for the description.

Re: In dash DVD player w/ remote

I just saw that for $3 you can buy it now an auction on Ebay where they tell you how to set it up without having to run a switch. Im sure that it is out on the internet if you look for it.
