WTT Lifted Toyota 4x4 for S10, ranger, nissan 2wd!
WTT Lifted Toyota 4x4 for S10, ranger, nissan 2wd!
Anyone got a 2wd ranger S10 or nissan? I prefer extended cab but would take a standard cab maybe too.
Have this to trade, its a beast and goes anywhere, GREAT in snow too, runs really good.
1988 Toyota 4x4 Pickup
i would like $2,300 out of it. or trade for something cheaper or equal value.
has approx 181K miles
it is 3.0 v6 5sp longbed regular cab.
has 31x10.5x15 tires on it with ALOT of life left in them.
i have replaced the timing belt at about ~168,000miles as well as tensioner/spring and idler plus the waterpump.
also a new dist. shaft, cap and rotor at the same time because i originally thought that was what was broke.
new rubber molding around the windshield. new head and tail lights.
some cheapo fog lights mounted on the front bumper.
Hidden Hitch, needs wired though
CD player
new mirrors, but i think they are for a different year as the mount is a different style then what i replaced.
just recently replaced the starter and battery to engine block wires because of the no start issue that is common. cured that!
has a newer alternator on it (May of last year)
i also replaced the slave cylinder but it leaks, i dont believe i tightened it up enuf under the vehicle, its a PITA to get a wrench in there! But it will go a week without having to add fluid, really not a big deal, just check the clutch fluid reseviore every few days.
4wd works flawlessly. had alot of fun this winter when the snow storms hit us hard.
fuel sending unit is bad. goes completely empty when about 6gallons of gas is used up
some rust on the drivers side cab corners (like all these trucks have. all body though nothing structural, truck is VERY solid.
Paint is newer, truck used to be blue, but door jams and everything except a couple parts under the hood are all painted so it looks decent.
New exhaust from manifolds back.
no tailgate cables, tailgate reflects this.
if gas wasnt so expensive, i would not hesitate one bit to drive it cross country and back!
i drove it alot between Springfield and Chicago on a weekly basis and the only times she let me down was when the timing belt broke and the alt. died. both of those issues have been dealt with!
also, i read somewhere that the '88 V6 did not have the headgasket issue like the '89 and newer V6 3.0's did...whether thats true or not, i do not know but i havent read much of any '88 with that issue.

Re: WTT Lifted Toyota 4x4 for S10, ranger, nissan 2wd!
The plastic air dam piece under the bumper is since taken off and it has a set of fog lights on it, otehrwise it looks like that. I dont have any larger pics right now, but you get the idea, just a simple daily driver truck or you could turn it into a mud toy or rock crawler or what not. I just want something that gets a little better MPG and is cheaper on insurance, for some reason the insuracne on a 4x4 is higher through my company than 2wd. Plus I kinda want to do a lowrider.
