I purchased a gloss black 05 636 lower from him and it arrived today.
It is in no way the condition he described in his Pm. Spray paint was used around the stator cover area to cover some marks. It looks like he washed his bike with a rake or brillo pad. He said there was some deeper scratches on the very bottom which was fine but there are places were it has some deep marks on it. I would have to get it resprayed by someone. No cracks or broken tabs. Light scratches and of course the bottom is kinda scratched up but its the bottom. not rashed at all. I dont have a camera anymore, it got taken and never showed back up here. Thanks,

I offered him a solution and we will see if he accepts it or not. I can't say he scammed me b/c I did get my part but it is not what was described to me. I already have paint from when I had my nose resprayed so I would just have to pay my friend to do it for me. Probally gonna run me 50-70 dollars and I paid this guy 50 for the lower. So I would have 100-120 in it. I can pick up a mint one from ebay for less than 100 shipped. Below is the deal I offered him. Do you think it sounds fair?

Ok well here is the deal. I recieved the 636 lower today. It is in no way the condition you described it to me. It has more than just light scratches. There are some rash spots that are not on the underside and you used spray paint on it near the stator cover. I would have to pay someone to prep it and repaint it for me which will cost me about 70 dollars. I can buy a mint fairing off ebay for 80 shipped which would be less than what I'll have invested in what you sold me.
Here is my compromise.... I will give you 25 dollars for it. Which means I want a paypal payment from you for 25 dollars or I want a full refund of my money and you also need to send an extra 10 bucks so I can mail your lower back to you.
So either give me back half of my money or all of it or I'm filing a dispute with paypal and posting a thread about how you sold me something that was crap. You have till thursday to send me full or partial payment back. After that I will take it into my own hands. Thanks,Adam

those are all easily and readily buffable. we did not paint anything, these bikes come in and go out in the same shape. you bought a used part for half price as explained with light scratches; not galdges or cracks or broken mounts or chips. its shiny original paint with scratches on it like i said. dont be a whine bag, you got what you paid for and thats what you expected. some of you guys impress me. go to kawasaki and buy new parts you cheap *****. i promise your going to make a mistake. you will be reposting a sorry post if you continue to give me ****. you have not a clue boy

parts are sold as is..you didnt ask about refunds when you bought the part... paypal will ask that. have you never disputed before? you definately doing it with the wrong family. i did not lie about the part

I never once asked for a mint fairing from this deal. I was told light scratches and that is all. There is spray paint on the thing for f-ck's sake along with rash. Which I was told it had none of that. Wow no wonder I hear so much crap about this site. Some of it's members need to take some leasons in life. I guess people were not raised like I was. Oh well it's whatever. Karma is a b-tch and you all will get yours one day.

 

well i told you were to meet at. Unless the "extra paint" was put on from the individual the lost it to insurance painted on it or something. the perfect engine was sold to a guy for 1200 with no complaints it was listed as near perfect! no downs on left side you could see that from the engine and case/cover. As stated in the thread also you purchased it from, it said that i would never part out a gloss black bike again! black is the worst color and even ppl that came and looked at the fairing pieces with thier own eyes said damn black sure does show them scratches...hell i thought black kinda covered it up! To each his own. I feel like you threw a quick temper tantrum??

I'd never buy anything I didn't see pics of, so really its your own fault

bUT....

If you really want a refund just call and talk to paypal, tell them your sending it back cuz its damaged and the guy you bought it from is not cooperating. Paypal will ask you to call them with delivery confirmation when the part gets back to him. At that time PAYPAL will refund your money minus return shipping costs and put a freeze on his account until he pays paypal the amount they refunded you. Don't waste time with the resolution **** online it'll take months, just call and if it works like it did with me one time, you'll have your refund in a week.

 

You sir can eat **** and hoefully choke on it while your at it. Wow you really know my sexual preference now don't you. Don't worry I can assure you that it will get catch up to you one day.

I did ask for pictures and all I received was crappy cell phone picks. When I asked for better pics with a better camera all I got was how he did not have one. I guess that should of made me think right there but oh well I'll chalk it up to experience. Plan on repainting all the plastics over winter anyhow. Untill then I have a near mint bike with a garbage lower fairing on it thanks to 12d954.

thats the problem with buying anything of a stuntbike site... you got shafted!!! just chaulk it up to a bad time and learn from it! anymore i dont buy it if i cant saee it with my own eyes!

 

when you buy used as described parts you get used as described parts. cry babies go to the dealer and pay for your mint parts...you guys arent slowing me down any, i had the part, sold the part, got paid for the part, dont have a digi cam, sent cell phone pics that i said would be shitty and dont do justice to everyone i tried to sent pics too, shipped the part as soon as i recieved payment, he recieved in a timely fashion and cries because the part really did have scratches like i warned him about...

Sounds like you been buying scratched parts anyway...already got the paint and prep...you just need a spray hand - i will do it for 10$ you get a mint "aftermarket" lower for what 60? I come out of the deal with black overspray, a happy meal and a joint to put up with all the whining...
