FS: Anybody need a TITLE for a 2004 R1 ??

i have a rebuildable title to a 2004 yamaha R1. Got the bike about a year ago and the frame was fu*ked, so that got tossed, but still have good title for it. Its in my name and im sure someone would be able to use it ... i used the motor for a nasty kart project, and have no other parts for it. just title.

if you are UNfamiliar with what 'rebuildable' means .. its simple. It was a salvage title from insuarance company, but all that has to be done is a simple inspection, and you get a good title back in your name. this title is NOT a 'parts only' or 'non-rebuildable' ... this is a perfectly good title and can be inspected and used for street or any use.

$400

Aren't they going to check the VIN during inspection? Without the frame this seems worthless.

I would think you would need to stamp the frame but not sure if that poses any legal issues. Never done it.

Exactly. That's what would need to be done if you wanted to get it through inspection and get it tagged, ect ect ....

OR, if you just had a bike that had NO numbers on it that you used for track, stunt, ect ect and didnt need tags, you could simply carry this title with you (or a copy of it) and proof of ownership if you didnt have any other paperwork on your bike.

trust me .... titles with good vin numbers are worth something. not thousands of dollars, but they do have value.
