700r4 would improve first gear acceleration because it has a nice low first gear and it would also help fuel milage on the high way cause of the over drive but you will have to by a few things to make it work with the lock up converter ..

theres like a 40 dollar kit some where to do it but i dont remember who sells them , check summit

 

dont remember if the cross member for the 350 will work or not but i think it does but you may have to move it a little and im not sure but you may need to get a different yoke and possibly shorten the drive shaft

 

and the detente cable on the 350 is just for downshift under full throttle but on the 700 it is more of a throttle position sensor for the tranny so you will need the bracket to make it adjustable ..

 

i dont think mine even has a detent cable

• The CBR 600RR , Yamaha R6 ,03 04 gsxr 1000 and the f4i pegs are lowered and moved back and out for better peg position! !
• The 01-03 GSXR 600 and 750 have the pegs moved out two inches because of the big tail section
• THE 07 600RR pegs are located 2-1/2 inches lower and 3 inches wider (Than stock)
• The zx6 models are slightly wider than stock to keep your leg from being pressed against the tail
• other omr subframe cage models are in the stock location except they are rotated on their axis so they don't fold up unless you fold them up, this also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg during a wheelie.

it's supposed to , it's what makes the tranny downshift when you accelerate hard

 

that would be going from a linkage on my carb, down to the tranny, right?

i have a vacuum line from teh carb to the tranny, would that be it?

the cable should go from the carb to right behind the filler tube on the right side of the tranny the vacuum line goes to the left side to the modulator

 

looks like there is a detente cable but it doesnt appear to be installed correctly

 

and it also appears you have an hei distributor already
