Solid Stunt Barz Brought to you by Cream Cheese
Solid Stunt Barz Brought to you by Cream Cheese
Well after Stuntoberfest 2009 in lakeland, florida after failing at wall stalls all afternoon and finally slammed my bike into the barrier and somehow broke my dirtbike bars,
i decided to come up with a great idea.
why not make a solid set of dirt bike bars! ok, so i bought some steel and bent it to the right angles and bam. they're super strong , wont crack, break or bend.
i have some inventory and im willing to sell them for $55 each plus $10 to ship anywhere in the US. anyone interested? (p.s. this is just the prototype! the actual bars will be painted to your preference)

having your bars bend is a good thing really. now all that force gets transferred to the tripple and the forks to cause damage. alot easeier cheaper to replace bars

well i actually just got done testing and i threw the bike down pretty hard on both sides and the triple held up nicely, but i do have the risers mounted correctly with big washers and all. its holdin up pretty good from my perspective! yea i should name them cheese bars! bray wanna be my first customer?

pound for pound you are correct but in order for a regular set of bars to have the same amount of steel in them as the cheese bars they would be about 6 inches in diameter ...
just to be clear 5 pounds of steel in 7/8 solid bar would be a certain length and 5 pounds of tubular steel would have to be either alot longer or have a bigger circumference...
with all that being said ,cheese you should make them out of tubular steel , they would be lighter and as long as you had a thick wall they would be plenty strong

I like the idea of bullet proof parts but not adding alot more weight to the bike than necessary. Thats just me. I bet theyd still sell tho. I would buy some thick wall steel bars. Optional rise would be cool too. Just my thoughts. Kudos Cheese
