I am selling a 2008 Suzuki GSXR 600. The bike has 800 miles and runs and rides great. Would be great for track, stunt, or street. All hand and foot controls, fairing stay and gauges are good. Frame, forks, wheels, subframe, etc all appear straight. The bike is very clean and like new minus the damage. The tank has a couple dents on the top on the left side. The radiator has a small dent on the left side at the top but holds fluid just fine. The seat has a couple small scuffs and tears. It has a 2bros carbon fiber pipe which has a little damage. The left side of the frame and stator cover have a few scratches/scuffs. The swingarm has some small scratches from gravel. Those are the only flaws I can find on the bike and most are minor. Most people wouldn't even mention half of them. As I said the bike runs and rides great. It has a NY 907A Salvage Certificate. $4500 takes it. NY residents to pay sales tax. $4500 with a salv. title??? good luck with that. and it must've been one hell of an accident to **** up every piece of plastic, you're talkin about $1200+ just to replace the plastics.

 

ya if it were stunted.. plastics $1200? idk where you buy from but you could find these on ebay for half that...$4500 for an '08 gsxr.. good deal!

chinese fairings that are like 300-600 bucks are junk.... i hate when people post saying those are good replacements! THEY ARE SHITTY! they dont fit right and stress crack super eazy. it's either oem or go home. imo

I did not "ball it up" I bought the bike damaged from an insurance auction for re-sale as thats how I make a living. Alot of times the plastics get stripped off at the shop who does the estimate. It doesn't take **** to rash/break plastics so it doesn't mean it was a "hell of an accident." I've seen complete oem bodywork/lights/tank, etc sell for $1000. And there are actually some brands of aftermarket plastics that are decent especially for the money. But there usually is nothing better than oem. But someone looking for a stunt bike, track bike, street fighter, etc isn't going to be too awful concerned with the fact it doesnt have plastics. In my eyes its the same whether it has a bunch of busted fairings or none at all.

frame is NOT damaged. It has some minor scratches. It's all cosmetic. The bike runs and rides like a new one down the road. And no one said I was trying to sell a stunt bike. I'm selling a bike that has some damage that could be turned into a stunt bike...or a track bike, or a streetfighter, etc. Whatever someone wants to do to it. And maybe the pics dont do it justice but the bike is far from "dirty"? Its just as clean as a new one except it has some damage.

 

And my Beast of a truck is just as good as a new one except it has 210k miles on it and has been ran in to about 6 times.

I did not miss your point, you missed mine. I never said it was as good as a new one. I was just stating the bike is very CLEAN, as in not DIRTY as someone said. It may just be how the pictures look. LOL

 

those are not "minor scratches" that frame took a good hit and you cant know the extent of the damage to it unless you have it computracked and checked for stress cracks as gsxr frames are infamous for breaking without even being noticeably damaged never mind with a 2 inch long impact mark.

 

Maybe thats the way it looks in the pics but the bike is right in front of my face. It's just scratches. The "impact mark" you see is the paint worn off. I would be more than happy to show an upclose picture of this to prove it if someone needs to see it. When frames take a "good hit" they usually dent or even worse snap. Especially the suzukis. I'm well aware of the problem with necks snapping off, I've seen hundreds at the auctions.

Well im not going to argue about it anymore. It is what it is. If you have something to say pm me instead of clogging up this thread with ****. You couple guys obviously have no interest at all you just feel the need to inform people of what you think is wrong with there stuff or what its worth. It's like the same couple guys go thru all the forsale threads and tell people there **** is over priced or tell them whats wrong with it. I would like to think you guys have more of a life than that. If you dont like someones bike or ad just move on to the next one. It's fairly easy to do, I do it all the time.
