i have a 01 R1 that i need to sell or trade up... i dont have the money to put into it, so i need to trade or sell it... it just needs a few parts like the gas cap, rear foot pegs, and front and side plastics....
the 2nd gear slips on it, and the carbs need cleaned and sync. but it runs and rides as is... the over all condition of the bike is good, no damage to it..
the bike was a repossession and i dont have the title but IT CAN BE TITLED and street legal.. i just dont have the time or patients to deal with the bmv..i can give you the vin# so you can check it out for yourself... 16,xxx miles...2000 obo

a guy down the road bought it at a repo auction, then he started to part it out... he sold the fairings, gas tank, rear foot pegs, airbox, and rider seat... i put everything back on it except the fairings, and a gas cap for the tank, and the rear foot pegs..... so no the bike was not stolen, it was repossessed in 2006 from a guy in greenwood indiana.. my uncle is a prosecuter and he ran the numbers for me and thats how i know it was last registered in 2006... i went to the bmv to get it retitled and they said they can with no problem, it would take 2-3 weeks and 25$ i just haven't done it yet

and no its not the same bike in my avatar, that was just a pic i found of the same year r1

no title, transmition does not work, no side or front fairings. What do you expect to get out of it?

 

just no title in hand, who ever buys it can get it titled...as far as tranny, you can buy a motor off ebay for 500, and same as the plastics.... i have over 3g's in the bike, i'm not lookin to get that out of it but 1000 is a pathetic offer.. i posted 2000 obo.... i see bikes on here in terrible shape and run like **** going for what i'm askin for....1000 bucks put into the bike then is perfect, so if someone buys it for 2000 and puts 1000 into it then they have a perfect r1 for 3g's.. go take a look on ebay and r1 forum and see what they are going for
