body lift question

i want to get a 5" calmini kit for my frontier but that wont be enough. Does anybody know if you can make a body lift to a car thats been already lifted?? i think it should work since changing the suspension and installing those body lift pieces are 2 diferent operations at diferent parts of the car but ive never heard of a car thats been body lifted and suspension upgraded at the same time, its not a common modification where i live and also i have ZERO idea about this things lol. so its an easy question, yes or not

a lot of people over here have a suspension lift and a body lift together

pros:
body lift doesnt raise the center of gravity nearly as much
retains stock ride characteristics

cons:
bumpers, steering column, and a few little things will be off
no extra suspension travel

so basically the only reason is to fit bigger tires

Re: body lift question

thanks for writing im not into mudding and what all this parts were made for, i live in a city and yeah some day I will probably try it, maybe twice, but basically what i want is a good looking car. Here it would be imposible to maintain and to PARK monster trucks such as crazy dan's ford or suidicl's so what i want is just a little more than 5" but not a 14" lifted truck lol. If i knew about a kit for a frontier thats higher than 5" then i would forget about the body lift but i dont know anything else, all i found was the calmini and fabtech kits

i will make a couple of calls tomorrow, theres some nice garages and workshops in my area which are specialized in 4x4 modifications.. maybe they know about it, i mean brands whose suspension kits are bigger than 5" or maybe they could arrange me a homemade one who knows

post some pics please Tundras and f250s are my 2 favourite trucks by far lol

made a couple of calls and everyone told me the same, 5" lift kit with 18-20" rims and a nice set of bf/cooper tires should be enough for street pimpin lol. Im always on time to go bigger if i ever want to....

T/C its a '08 frontier, looks exactly like yours. there might be some mechanical diferences (well im so sure there are diferences mine is only 171hp haha) but the suspension system must be the same. Did you mispelt or theres a 6" kit from fabtech??
edit: ok you were right! site says call for 2007 applications but 2006 to 2008 models they all look exactly the same.

Re: body lift question

hope you are taking into account putting a lift and big wheels and tires on a truck with only 171 hp - gonna put a big strain on the drivetrain, don't forget stopping power too

Post Re: body lift question

well its european technology... not like a 171hp american truck would run (I BELIEVE). He does 120mph top speed and torque is 298lb·ft. Do you think it could stand it??
