ive heard people using them, but its hard to tell what kind if any gains could be made unless you dyno your ride. im sure its quite minimal if at all.

It costs $100 - and thats without searching around for a better price. I figured even if I get an additional 2mpg it might be worth it Eh Iono if ima buy it or not.

Re: Truck throttle body spacers???

based on what i read, all you gain by installing it is an annoying wheezing sound at about 3500 rpm. some have made reports of 1mpg gains, but im sure they were just cruising with a tail wind. also theres been some reports of increased throttle response from dead stops, but people who have cut the screen out of theyre stock TB gasket have reported the same gains. sounds like a 100 dollar paperweight to me.

Re: Truck throttle body spacers???

the only real thing that a spacer does is give you more volume and in turn gives you a pinch more power but it is very minimal and it does give you that sweet wheezing sound hahahaha

Re: Truck throttle body spacers???

I just did a search on the F150 forum and theres mixed reviews but most of the people say its

I can't speak for the 04-06's, but there are a ton of owners at FTW that installed them on 97-03's. The general opinion is they produced a weird whistling sound and added nothing to performance.

Re: Truck throttle body spacers???

same thing as a velocity stack for a mini bike or fiddy. No real hp gain maybe a pinch of torque. Deffinatly not better for gas mileage your gas mileage would be the same. Dont waste your dough

I put one in my Durango... didn't really notice any power but it seems to get a tad bit more mpg... could just be driving habits though...
