i get the feeling your fairlane will be sitting like my monte carlo. im in the process of building a twin turbo LT1 for it, but i dont know when i will be able to afford the gas to drive it once that happens.

Hopefully the gas prices go down some before it gets cold enough that I have to drive this around again.

I drive 120 miles a day for work . In my civc i get 36mpg and i still pay about $15 each day for gas . I would get a little better mpg if i slow down , my commute is mostly highway so it's usually hammerdown driving . You would understand if you knew Illinois I-90
I recently drove a 2007 4door jetta (don't know exact model but it had a turbo and 6spd auto) . and it got about 30 mpg . It had like a 15 gallon tank so you could go long distances each fill . But each fill was like $65 bucks .

I can fill up my honda for about $45 and get 360 miles .

Retro is a decent person
Re: What are y'all doing about expensive gas?

I only put 25.00 in my Acura 2.5 TL's tank and that gives me just a bit over a 1/4 tank.
that can last me about 2 weeks if I'm good and don't commute with it.
I only drive the TL to the daycare and back .
I than commute my bike to work. not a bad ride 20 miles one way.
belive it or not I have saved on gas money staying under 75 mph
My fleetwood sits in the garage with a cover on it.
I last I drove the caddy was in jan.

Re: What are y'all doing about expensive gas?

costs me about $100 to fill up my f150, i've been cutting back on driving out to B-ham to ride with the guys. That alone was at least 100 miles roundtrip

I've been saving alot after that lol
