Anyone ever bagged an s10?
I'm sure plenty of people have, so I have questions for those experienced in the process.
-What needs to be done?
-What are my options?
-How much is a nice setup going to cost?
Just looking to lay frame with 1/2" valves. I am really really new to the whole thing so the most general explanation/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Anyone ever bagged an s10?
Im bagging my s10 right now. This is my first time dealing with airride.
I have a 2 link setup in the rear, on firestone bags. It'll lay frame on 20s, and with it fully raised up, i can get a finger or two between the tire and wheel well.
Ideally, you dont want a two link. they are cheap as hell, and easy to put in, but a 3 or 4 link would ride better.
overall, im going to have about 700$ into my setup. Obviously you can go anywhere from there, up into the thousands.
If your gonna lay frame, you have to notch your frame, and cut out your bed. Right now, im going to be rebuilding my upper bag crossmember, so that i can still get a bike in and out of the back of the truck.

Re: Anyone ever bagged an s10?
If you want to put your bike in the back don't go with a cantilever setup. It gives you more lift, but takes away load capacity. Also make sure you put some shocks back on it when you are done.

I'm trying to run shocks definitely... I was thinking about doing a lifted floor in the bed to allow for the bike but idk if it could support the weight... I suppose it could with the proper bracing.

If you don't want o get sea sickon the highway you do from what i hear.
You can do that as long as you build up a frame for it underneath.

Re: Anyone ever bagged an s10?
We charged $3,500 back in 05 when I was doing custom work. I don't know what the prices are now and that included the following.
Slam Specialties Bags.
KYB shocks.
(8) 1/2" GC Valves.
Viar 450 compressor.
5 Gal Tank (also plumbed for nitrogen).
Gauges.
Notch Cover and either raised wheel tubs or trailer fenders in the bed.
Relocate the necessary items under the hood to lay out on 20's (22's cost extra).
Build new wheel tubs up front.
Rebuild tranny crossmember.
Raise gas tank.
Tub firewall.
