Im not sure....i have an 03 s10 ls...now and its ok....i find that i get through smaller gaps in traffic that a bigger truck wouldn't....I do like bigger trucks but don't feel like i need it...I almost think a frontier with ext cab and 4x4....then i think about the Silverado SS.....but it seems too nice to take to the beach and put a stuntbike in

Id spend 30k for the perfect truck if it was perfect

Re: What Truck is best.....

It's all opinion. After driving them all and working on them all....

Ford - the newer F-150's are real nice.
GM - Dependable, parts are cheap and easy to find, I like mine.
Dodge - Weak Tranny & poor gas mileage - Go for the warranty
Toyota - Very nice, Very expensive but it will last 15 years.
Nissan - Titan's are nice... alot of plastic. The 5.6 makes good power though. As far as a frontier - I looked at them before buying my full size - if you get a 4 door you're looking at the same money as a full size - same thing with a newer Tacoma. The new Tacoma's are nice, great power, bouncey suspension though.
Mazda- no real experience with the newer ones.

Mazda= same thing as a frod ranger (literally built on the same assembly line)

The asians have been having serious problems with transmissions that make the Dodge tranny's look like they are long lasting. Also they are having problems with the tailgate cables snapping, not good if you are loading a 400# bike and you weigh 180#'s.

Re: What Truck is best.....

the only prob i see with the f150 is the clutch packs in the rear end. but if you get the 5.4 with 3.73 limited slip it gets good gas milage and can also tow small stufflike: bike trailer, wakebard boat, stuff like that. and i see them everyday
