Cr-x = Cr-z

I was wondering why they hadn't made a civic hatch out of the new body style yet . Maybe they will make this first .

Also read that it might be a hybrid engine , but honda has made a performance hybrid engine before , and the one in the accord isn't to bad either .

Re: Cr-x = Cr-z

and people thought the Enterprise spaceship was just fiction LOL

seriously i don't know D,
i really loved the new Civic - the looks, the interior - until i had my hands on it.
it's FAKE... it's brittle, light plastic, fake chrome,
and it doesn't really feel solid... you know, perceived quality or whatever you call it.

Re: Cr-x = Cr-z

This is the automotive forum and if you don't like imports , oh well , but honda is one of the best . Probably the best commercial vehicles with the least amount of problems .

Hate if you must , but this is thread is about hatchback hondas .

Of course a civic isn't that solid GTS Fever . It's a car weighing less than 3,000 lbs. . I would'nt buy this cr-z as a grocery getter .

The older civics suspensions are different and are actually steer very well .

Crx has roots . Honda is capitalizing on it . I think they did a good job at making it look kinda like a cr-x . Like the side windows and the see thru back window section under the hatch like the old cr-x had .

Obviously , this is still just a concept car , but it will probably be made . And i don't think honda is gonna make it cheap either . The dash will be completely different , rear view mirrors will be different , wheels probably will be different , etc, etc . Hopefully they will use the civic front grille or make this one smaller .

Who knows , it's a concept car .

I like it

Re: Cr-x = Cr-z

You think i was hating? read it better, i wasn't.
i said " i really loved the new Civic". and in fact it's a gorgeous car.
But since i'm no technician nor do i particularly love cars, i stick on my superficial wiew of things.
And i keep saying that chromed-looking plastic and fake carbon fiber
looks good on a toy car,
but i just don't LIKE it on a real one.
I keep saying that the dashboard on the Civic makes ugly crackling sounds
just as it was an MCC Smart car, hell
not even a Fiat Punto looked so flimsy.

Dynamic performance is still great, that's out of doubt.

Re: Cr-x = Cr-z

I wonder if you can put a swap in the new cars like you can the old hatchs and si's. Like a b18 or maybe even a k20

New generation Smarts look a bit stretched-out,
just look for an older one, jump in and knock on the dashboard/gauges. You will laugh.

Re: Cr-x = Cr-z

I sold Hondas for like 2 years. I have never owned a foreign made car but I can tell you I WOULD own a new Civic. The absolutly give you the most bang for the buck....as far as the fake chrome etc, many American cars do the same thing...have you looked at a Chevy Truck grill lately????

By the way, that car is a European model only....Not available in the US.

Erm not really,
north american vehicles are revered as exotics down here,
but i happened to see some old production cars in the past.
