Is a 1000 too much?

I have a GSXR 1000 and I was wandering if it is too much to stunt on. I know alot of people that stunt on 600's and wandering if I should get a 600 to try and stunt on.

Na, its not too much. 1k's are a little twitchy at first but once you get over that you'll be tight...

i think newer bikes look sweet with rash, you actully can see they are being ridden to thier potential, insted of garage paper weights. gsxr 1 is no bike to cruise the town with... thats what little bitch scooters are for

Well I havent been riding for a long time. Only had the bike 2 months and never rode a bike before that. I just dont know if a 1000 is too much power to try and stunt on.

a 1k for your first bike isnt exactly the way to go but hey you already have it.........i learned how to wheelie on a litre bike.....its pretty touchy though....just grab your nutz and git ro done you'll have it in no time....cover the rear breake on that thing though it can get you in trouble real fast......

Yea I was going to get a 600 or 750 for my first bike, but my dad said that he got a 600 when he was my age and after a few months he hated it and wished he would have got a 1000. So he basically said he would disown me if I didnt get a 1000.

I really only want to do the slow stuff. That is what caught my eye when I first saw some people stunting. I like seeing poeple go real slow and still be able to hold a wheelie.

So would a 600 or 750 be good for slow stunting? That is what I should have asked first.

"but my dad said that he got a 600 when he was my age"

600cc are developed a lot since your dad was at your age. can you say 50hp? That was probably what he got? Now they are like 110+hp.

But 600 is little small, 750 is nice, 1000 has lot of power which makes you power wheelie and get to much speed. If you just clutch it up and keep the speed and revs low, it's no different then 750. maybe little more twisty throttle. Just don't run those originals gears through, at first you are doing over 70mph.

But you are pretty young, so it's hard to keep your head cool with so much power. It gonna be power wheelie fest all the time..

people are rockin slow stuff on 954's so its totally possible im not doing slow stuff yet........but at first i did prefer to stunt on a 1k cause it was easier for me to bring it up....i would just power it up in first......thing is touchy as hell though so be CAREFUL........cover your rear brake......and like he said get it geared.......but to answer your ? i would think it would be easier to do slow stuff on a smaller bike....
