No $hit.. It's hard to think about using the rear break while you're up there trying to concentrate on not busting your a$$!! And even if you do remember it seems to dissapear..lol

Re: How To Actually Use The Rear Brake
I had a real good teacher, I called it gravity.
I tell people, turn the idle up alot. You'll crash, probably twice, but then you'll hit the brake.

As soon as I started to try bar stuff/12's, I would automatically working the brake and not letting it go back on the bar :D

Re: How To Actually Use The Rear Brake
You guys make it seem way harder than it really is. Just have your foot on the brake, clutch the wheelie (first gear) up high and tap the brake to bring it down. Repeat and let it go back a little farther every time... and... tada you learned how to 12.

Re: How To Actually Use The Rear Brake
best practice i'v found is to use the rear brake, without depending on only the front brake to stop in normal riding... thing i did was to use just the rear brake to hold me when i'm at stop lights, of course using both brakes to stop initially... got me used to keeping my foot on the rear brake and using it...
unfortunatly it's still not one of the foremost things on my mind when attempting to practice wheelies..

Re: How To Actually Use The Rear Brake
Agreed With Teach The Easiest Least Painful Way Is On A 50 Or In My Case A 110. Before U Lift It Up Make Sure Ur Foot Is Hovering Right Over The Brake, The First Few Times Are Tricky But After That U Get The Hang Of It Like Anything Else.i Tend To Keep My Foot On The Brake And Just Feather It Instead Of Hitn It When Its Going Over I Feather It And Ride It. It Works For Me.
