VIN #'s 2004 GSXR 750

going to buy my first bike and want everything to be ligit... where do i need to look for the vin mumbers to match them with the title????? the bike is a 2004 GSXR 750

get the vin off the bike and call the police to have it checked, I'm pretty sure they can do it over the phone, but call them in advance to find out what to do.
