dumbass sprocket question

im new to the stunt game and i suck ive only rocked a hand full of what i would call decent wheelies and need help with em. im gonna fully stunt my bike out soon and trying to get up a decent wheelie is pretty hard for me unless im goin .2222 of a mph. i hear spockets make it way easyer on ya and i have no idea what to get or brand or anything. i am seeking proffesional opinion on a size for the rear spocket and a front size, also a company name mabee??? i was at a dealer today and i was lookin at sprockets and i told they guy to see what they had for my bike and hes like +5 is the biggest that they carried for the vortex ones i was lookin at. i have 02' yzf 600r. any input whould be welcomed, i need help! so frusterating also where the *** do i find what size sprocket i have? in manuel? i havent found, and not onlinestores ether. is it on the sprocket itself cause there is no fuggin way i read a number though all the grease on that bitch holla

Re: dumbass sprocket question

no offense, but sell the yzf600 and get a real sportbike. you'll be amazed by the difference.

maybe, bit not necessarily!! you can stunt almost any bike as long as it snot too heavy and has a decent engine!! sprockets will def help, go up 5 in the back at first, then when you get better go 10 to 15 (cuz you need more control)

work with what you have, it will teach you a lot first off, things will come much easier after you gear. If your looking for the stock sprocket size it should be stamped into your rear sprocket clean it up a lil .

sprocket specialists are the way to go

Re: dumbass sprocket question

whatever happened to learning everything first, then gearing the **** out of your bike? now it seems like everyone just goes out and buys a bike, and immediately gear the crap out of them... Any bike will wheelie, just takes technique and control. Get used to the basics before you go insane on yourself with some +15 rear sprocket.

yep

you need to give it more gas, stay on the gas after you dump the clutch, or you need to time it better. any bike will wheelie, you need to PRACTICE though.

I woudn't change the sprocket yet learn to wheelie cosistently first. If you are a learner the big sprocket will flip you

Re: dumbass sprocket question

i went -1 in the front and +1 in the back and can wheelie that thing for days....i did learn how to clutch it up when it was stock though i would suggest doing that first....just find someone that can wheelie and ask them...good luck

Re: dumbass sprocket question

There's no way to stunt out a bike. Just stunt it, it'll look like the rest of ours sooner or later, lol. Learn with what you got, then gear it like they said. It will teach you so much more in the long run. Get a cage and be done with it, (I would get another bike because your's isn't the best for stunting, HOWEVER, I've seen some boys from 3sick6 in SanAntonio rocking the crap out of one)

Re: dumbass sprocket question

I can wheelie with my bike, but it took me a while to learn the technique. With my bike though, it's still pretty hard to get the front up sometimes. I was talking to a mechanic, and he suggested going -1 0 on my bike. He said that even that would make a difference.

All i can say is that u obviously have more $$$$ than sence my man. If u listened to waht these guys were trying to tell u then u would save yourself alot of money and mayb even a bike or 2 so u dont flip em???? Learning on a litre bike is not impossible but not something that many ppl would recommend here im sure. I have a stock geared 98 gixxer 6 and i can bounce that thing up in 3rd now. Just from all the help from everyone on this forum and a crap load of practice. It dont matter how new or stunt prepped your ride is it all comes down to practice my man, thats the key 2 everything!!!! Good luck with it remember to always ride safe and cover that rear brake as it will save your skinny **** many a times!!!!

the litre bike isnt going to come up any easier if you dont have the timing & technique down. its not wack the throttle till the front comes up, its about timing & slipping the clutch and using the rear brake. keep your bike, wreck it when learning and then get a bigger bike that you can rock out on in style

What exactly do sprockets do? All my friends who have tried to stunt my bike said i needed one. Will it make a difference in the way i ride even if i dont stunt?
