tryin CHRIST

I'd like to try doin a christ for a photo op. This seems pretty easy to me, put the bike in neutral and stand on the seat. Am I missing something. Is it harder then it looks?

Start by riding for a while with one foot on the seat. Then ride for a while with both feet on the seat (squatting). Then try taking one or both hands off the handlebars. Try that while rising a bit higher each time. Not quite as easy as it looks, is it? Remember, more speed means more stability. Too much speed means too much wind hitting you. Some people put their choke on. Some people turn their idle up. Others put it in neutral. I have a cruise control throttle lock that I use. Tank stands are scarier, but you have better footing than on a spongy seat.

Yeah, pretty much what he said. I'd do it on the tank though. the seat is too soft. The tank is only about 6 inches higher so once you do it, it's no big deal. Just scary at first like everything else.

If you have the front and rear stands for your bike you could practice that way just to get a feel for it then go and do it. Of course it will be alot diffrent when your moving but it will get you used to standing on your seat or tank.

I just ate it trying a christ for the first time. If you look under the stunnin with V-twins thread, you can read the details. Tried it on the seat. Didn't go well and fell off. Not walking for about half a year. My advice is just to make sure you have someone with you that can call in case you eat it, and don't do it to far away from civilization. I was out in the desert, and had to be heloed out because it took almost half an hour for an ambulance to get there and I went into shock really bad. I'm still not sure what exactly went wrong, but be safe, wear full gear. That was my downfall. Good luck bro.

It sure is possible on the seat, my bike has no tank and so I'm obbliged to do it on the seat, just drive, put it in neural and stand up, nothing hard to it
