01 gsxr 1000 it is stock in front and 8 up in back and it just does not feel right who stunts a 1000 and what kind of sproket work it has

 

on my friends i do a lil bit and i we left that thing stock. fcukin thing is a loop machine....

Just leave it stock.. you don't really need to gear 1000 up unless your rocking some slow stuff.. and by slow we are talking parking lot pympin!

 

I've been stock, then -2+2, then -2+8, then +20, then -2+20, then back to +20, now I'm putting just the +8 on it. Too hard to be smooth without having the idle turned up for slow stuff. For engine brake on a 1000 you need a serious gear, +20 isn't enough to bring it off the bar unless your moving 30mph plus. You don't NEED it for slow stuff with the idle up but it helps if you aren't super easy on the brake. Ideal setup is 10-15up and a handbrake.

 

13 up in the rear and love it.

i guess i just need to get the hang of it because i have a 04 1000 to cruse on and a 01 to stunt and whan i looped the 01 that was the first time i rode it in like 3-4 weeks so wait for the bone to heal and start over

 

front = stock (17 teeth)

rear = +14

what exactly are you trying to acomplish?

 

hes rocking slow stuff in parking lots
i think he just havent learned idle,brake and bike control he can pull it up and tap the bar but he cant just rock super slow ones or slow them down
he thinks its the gearing that messing him up

Na, its not gearing. I know this dude that will jump on any bike stock and rock out idle sh*t within seconds. If youre stock geared your not gonna be able to run on your idle really slow, you have to go a lil bit faster or you will stall it out and face plant in your windshield. Just practice, ull get it...

 

636 is where its at i can damn near make it crawl on stock gears
