Anybody physically go to PowersBikeWorx warehouse?

Has anybody actually gone to the warehouse in Elizabethtown, PA? I'd like to purchase my cage and bar directly from them and pick it up right then and there...anybody?

It would also be nice to get some tips from the actual builders on install setup/etc....

Alvin, just call Helio or Sue, 717-653-9100. Me and freaky from A.R. have bought many products from them. I assure you you will not have a problem with anything and they will walk you through everything you need to know
Good Luck!

their hours are from 9-5pm...if you call at 5:01 or on the weekend you are not going to get a response. just use mapquest for directions and have at it.

Re: Anybody physically go to PowersBikeWorx warehouse?

Yeh good luck, There customer service blows I don't know how you all can say any differnt. I would say it took 15 calls (during buisness hours) to get in touch of sombody there. Finally they answered the phone and turned out to have 2 of the three cages instock, no big deal so we thought so we paid for all three cages over the phone and headed to their shop to pick the 2 available ones up (about 2.5 hours from us) All went fairly well so we left their little garage style weld shop and headed home to throw them on. Well one cage went right on but the other that was going on a R1 had to be cut and re-welded and thats not because the bike was tweeked it was from a bad jig that they used to make the cage. Ok so now them two are on and we wait almost a full month for our third cage to arive, during this time calling at least once a week and always hearing it's on the way to you (rember 2.5 hours away). They wern't on the way at all they were just dicking around for at least three weeks before my cage was built. How long should it take to build a cage for a buisness that specializes in this, keep in mind this is not a huge buisness to be in I figure they sell at the most 75 cages a month and I'm willing to bet that's way on the high side. Well I'm done telling you all about the poor sides of them and I will say that they do make a hell of a cage when it is right but they do lack bad with customer service. My next cage if not "homemade" will be a 905 without a question. Later on.......jk www.theuprightsstuntteam.com

Re: Anybody physically go to PowersBikeWorx warehouse?

Okay guys-I went to the Powers shop yesterday. It was a bitch to find in the middle of the sticks-but when I finally found it, they had my cage and 12 bar waiting for me. Got to bullshit with Matt and a few others--really cool down to earth guys. They explained how to install it and everything.

So I got home and began the cage install. The rear bolt would'nt go in because from the looks of it, the rear tab was tweaked---bad weld/jig??--WEll-I called Powers up and they told me that in the powdercoating process, they "tumble" the pieces in the sanding process which puts stress on some of the tabs and tweakes them a bit. They told me to use a screwdriver to pry the tab straight. SO, I tried the screwdriver and it did'nt work. I then used a 1/2" breaker bar and it bend that sonofabitch straight like warm butter. I finished snugging up all of the bolts after getting my socket stuck in a few of those damn deep holes and now its just pimp. Tipped the bike over to test-and it works like a charm-but the real test will come soon. Their service was excellent and I had no problems getting ahold of them. Definitly do business with them again. If anybody ever needs to drive there, call first and they will help you out to the fullest extent. Later.

Re: Anybody physically go to PowersBikeWorx warehouse?

R1 alvin, i have teh EXACT same complaints as you

on my 954, the right side tab was supposedly bent in powedercoating, BS!!! its a nice cage but dont lie to a fabricator (me) and tell me powedercoating tweaks iut, powdercoating is sprayed and baked at a measily 400 degrees, that aint tweaking no metal of this gauge , anyone who believes that is a fool. i got my socket stuck a few times, rear bolt was a royal PITA, i had to literally drop teh bike to get teh socket out and test teh cage hahaha, its a nice cage, but the jig tehy use sucks ***, i already put teh cage to use, its proven, but 2 things

get a good jig powers

and knock it off with the "powdercoating excuse" for tweaking teh tabs, other than that im satisfied, i REALLY love how teh FI cage looks in person, oh my god its so pretty, but i cnat stand all teh cracked motor mount stories
