Rear tire size on an f3???
My tire is fuked and I need a new one. I've still got the 160. I was told on cbrworld that a 180 will fit on the stock wheel and still clear the chain. Does anyone rock a 180 or even 170 on the f3? Does it seem to help with balance or traction??

I rock 180's on mine when I stunt. Works just fine. Not the best when your hanging HARD corners. For that stick with a 170. In my opinon, the F3 needs a 170 out back. It has a 5" rim with a 160. The F2's had a 160 with a 4.5" rim. The 900RR comes with a 5.5" rim and runs a 180. It dosen't make sense when you increase the rim size from the F2 to F3 that you would keep the same size tire. Using that logic, the 180 is just one size bigger. Take it for what it is worth....I run 180 take-offs for about 6 months now and had 0 problems. Is for balance...if anything at lower pressure (less than 15) it might feel a little sloppier than the 160. Nothing that you can't get use to.

170 is ideal for all around. 180 is the best for strictly stunting, and 160 is the best for strictly cornering. so i say rock a 170. i got a 208 170 on mine and i love it

I'm biding on a 160 pirelli race take off right now on ebay. If i don't get it i'm gonna pick up a 180 120 rear/front set of d208s take offs.... Thanks for the help

I ride a f3, and I have a 180/55/17 on mine. I like it, but I haven't ever used the 160. My friend has a 190 on his. But if I were you go with the 180, I love it.

I have a 160 on my f3 and a 150 on my f2. I like the 150 better unless for most wheelies. It turns alot easier and the bike feels a little lighter on one wheel. It sux for tank wheelies when the ground is cold.
