wobble?

ok the stats:
-01 F4i
-stock gearing, chain/sprockets need to be changed up quick here...
-30psi - 40psi in rear tire

when i do my sitdowns and standups in first gear, when i'm just about to hit the bp i get a slow wobble on the rear tire... it's really unsettling so i let her down... this has been consistant with 30 and 40 psi in my rear and its buggin me... i wanna get to my BP dammit!

halp :D

Re: wobble?

I would suggest that you drop the rear tire pressure to the mid 20's, like 25 psi.

I have had the same problem in the past and found that dropping the psi helped to reduce occurences of wobble.

Re: wobble?

Yea I'd def say drop the rear tire pressure! I had mine at 35 and when I lowered it to 25 everything just got smoother... give it a try

Re: wobble?

Tire pressure isnt whats causing the wobble, lowering the pressure is a band aid, but it will help you out, so do it.
Try to focus on keeping your weight centered, especially during throttle input. Also try riding the rear brake slightly.

Re: wobble?

If you're choppy on the throttle that could cause you to wobble.

Re: wobble?

Becarefull!! I had the same problem as you did, untill I got a highspeed wobble and set down into a really bad tankslapper! I had the wobbles come less consistant when my pressure was lowered, but still would get it now and then.
I sold the F4i thinking the wobble was due to something bent on my bike. Now I ride a GSXR and the wobbles ain't there with 25lbs of pressure.

I solved 1 of my problems which was the wobble and into another problem, flipping stoppies :YEAH
