Re: exhaust insulation?

How'd you cut it off and bolt the tip back on??

I wanna cut mine down, it's stock and I just scrape it.

on the stock gixxer can you need to cut the baffle in half, take off what ever material you need then spot weld it back together, cut off excess can material the bolt the tip back on.... or you can use little "L" brackets and pop rivit it back in from the sides.... the stock gixxer can is a bitch to open up because the aluminum case is rolled down around the end, you need to get a screw driver and pry the rolled edge up and then use pliers to straiten the edge out before you can pull the baffle out.... good luck....

oh and leave the fiberglass packin' out when you put it back together.... it sounds mean as hell with out being really loud....
