Re: gsxr help

probably just the valves. Gixxers are NOISY as hell. Thats just the way they are built. Don't worry about it too much unless you are close to the service interval.

He's right - I've had a gixxer6, 750, and 1k and they are just a noisy bike - unless a rod comes through the case I think you're fine.

Re: gsxr help

It isn't the CCT, it's the Gixxer.

When I first got mine after rocking an R6 for a bit, I was like WTF is that ticking sound... Everyone said it was the CCT, but it wasn't, there was never any problem with it. It still does it to this day, a year and a half after I bought it. Gixxers are just noisy, they make a fast ticking sound, sometimes with a slow knocking you can barely feel if you put your hand on the frame, when they're cold, and sometimes around 5500-6000 rpms. I even had a motorcycle engineer my father is friends with check it out, listen to it, and ride it. His words were, "Yup...sounds like a Suzuki."

Suzukis are loud as hell for sure, but they are known for the timing chain tensioners wearing out. Mine is soooo noisey because my timing chain is stretched out extremely bad and my tensioner is wore out from trying to hold tension on that worn out chain.
