954 Manual
954 Manual
I need a service manual or at least an owners manual for an 02 954. If anyone has one you can PM me or IM me at MooSir2u2 on aim.
If you have a 954 manual and can check for me I need to figure out how to get the fuel meter to show up. I've heard about it but can't seem to get it to show up with any combinations of buttons.

Re: 954 Manual
Don't think the bike has this feature. I don't have my manual handy but this is off the honda specs from the the honda owners website.
"High-tech instrument display includes black-face electronic tachometer, LCD readouts for speedometer, coolant temperature, odometer, two tripmeters and a clock. A low-fuel LED light is located in the tachometer."
I think the euro bikes have the fuel meter. I remember seeing it in the manual but it said for euro models i believe. If there's a way to get it to show up that would be cool.

do you know about adjusting the throttle play? I think i'm gonna have a dealer do it since I need new bar ends anyway (2 bar ends have already fallen out) and I have to get that fixed. The throttle has about a 1/2 inch of play and it's quite annoying when you're trying to accelerate and you have to move your hand far down just to get throttle.

Same as any other bike. follow the throttle cable out of your bar. There's a lock nut that needs to be loosened, slide back the dust boot a few inches away, then adjust the smaller (long looking nut) until your throttle has no freeplay. Tighten lock nut. Make sure that the dust boot is still covering the line a few inches away. Should take all of 5 min.

Yeah, I needed to figure out how to fix my throttle play, I still have to take the tank off and the airbox and fix it cause the one on the clip on doesn't take enough slack but it's still better than it was before.
I don't really care about a fuel meter I just thought it was a neat idea.
