basically bike was fine, go out last night

it wont stay idle that well, goes up and down, sometimes bad, 3500 down to 1000 back up...sumtimes pull clutch in it just shut off...

road last night, delt wit it

today went out, got worse, ending up shutting off, as i jumped from seat to tank one time...sucked

as night went on got worse and worse and worse...
would go nutz, shut off all the time

what could it be?

i heard it could b the fuel pump? this true?
bad wiring?
someone help...

bad gas? check your plugs.

 

Brandon, may be a bad air/fuel sensor(the one on the top of the airbox directly underneath the gas tank... close to the tank bolts.

your bike pulling up any codes on the tach?

Dunno if that bike has an auto choke cause its FI.. but I had my choke stick after a crash once. I didnt notice till I started messing with the idle, for a whole day my idle was SO irratic that I thought my carbs were to blame. We have basically the same motor, but you have FI so this may not apply.

 

your in luck i may have the solution.......... i think its your regulator rectifier.........located on the left tail side of your bike.......... my idle was fluxating like crazy and then i crashed and my bike never started until i changed my regulator rectifier....... does your battery seem weak? mines was .

and a new battery...

wondering if its a bad recitfire......maybe thats y its surging kinda...

could it b the stator? got ruined after last time when battery fried, cause reg went?

another thing that just came to mind is...

it wasnt just like stalling shutting off, i notice lights on tach were dimming out...

so it wasnt just shutting off power, liek lights etc surging...

ne more suggestions?

 

charge that battery and see what happens.

 

Pay someone to work on your bike you foo. Everytime you take it apart, it never runs. I had to fix it the last time........... maybe you need spark plugs

what was the problem? Did you get it back and idle'n fine? My 954 is having that same issue.
