Still working on wheelies.
Still working on wheelies.
I started doing power wheelies again, but i just cant keep it up
I go up to 5-6k rpm, let go of the throtle and hit it back again(+ trying to bump the front wheel) and all i can get is maybe a foot or 2 and it falls right back down.
I have a 96 zx6 ninja and its a pretty heavy bike(450 lbs) dry
I tried clutching and i could get it up good 3-4 feet but i feel lil uncofortable doing it.
Any tips?
Or just keep practicing.
Thanks

Re: Still working on wheelies.
Clutch it, thats pretty much the only way you'll get anywhere. when you clutch it at low rpms you'll have alot more time (rpm) to find the balance point. Practice pratice, and remember where the rear brake is. I looped last sunday at 45mph b/c i didnt push it hard enough.
Re: Still working on wheelies.
I'm no pro, but what I did to overcome my fear is, start clutching it and lean forward. Let it keep poping little ones off the ground, when I got used to that, I started clutching it harder and leaning back furthur. Like I said I aint no pro, but I can get it up to Bp(60%of the time) without fear of it comming up to fast.
Re: Still working on wheelies.
I'm having the same problem. I'm pullin on the bars... not thinkin about it. It just happens. and it causes the bike to come up crooked or they're cocked when I come down... and thats never good. I'm guessing a stabalizer and lots more practice will help with this problem. but we'll see. Either way they're a good investment.
