Need help with 12ing FI Gsxr 750

What is the best way to 12? I hit my bar once after I lifted the tank to turn the idle up to 4k rpm. Tire pressure is low but I'm having a real hard time with throttle control. I know someone out there is 12ing one of these, any hints will help alot.

Thanks.
Tim

i could give u detailed description of exactly every move i make wen i 12. but that would b completely useless. bring it up high, tap brake wen idle takes over. other than that just go ride, practice makes perfect.

You need to learn how to ride your bike first and have excellent control of it behind bp using the rear brake, before you ever try to scrape bar/tail...

Well I didn't want to look like a complete poser with an unscraped 12 bar. I should have clarified my problem better, my problem is more in what rpm should i turn the idle up to to stay smooth at Balance point and what pis to run in the back tire?

Thanks
Tim

Thats why people say practice. There is no universal formula for riding. You go out and figure out what works and what doesnt through practice. Keep practicing and good luck. The tire pressure and rpm thing has all been done to death. If you want some opinions on what works for other people, just do a search. BTW, ignore any advice by a user named FHL cause he is the O.G. kickstand stunter.

Hehe, noted....On a side note is there an easier way to adjust the idle rather than having to lift the tank, or has anyone fabricated something that could make it easier..... I look like a clown with my tools to lift the tank strapped under my passenger seat strap going to my stunt spot....lol.

you can get a idle cable and **** off of a 97 gsxr 600. Im not sure how to mod it up, but thats the bike you can get it off of. I have a 97 gix6 and its on the left hand side, close to the resivor for the coolant...

Im sure its not hard to figure out how to mount it up to your bike...

THe 2000 models have it. 01 - 03 dont. You can get the adjuster cable off just about any bike that has one. I used one from an R6 on my 750.

Its different for everyone, usually like 2000 to 4000 is what the range that i have seen many people use.

I run 5psi to 12 psi.

If you practice enough you will start learning how to judge whats best for you...

Re: Need help with 12ing FI Gsxr 750

order a 98 or 99 idle screw assembly.. un screw yours, put that one in, and mount the adjuster bracket right on your fairing down under the gas tank where the cable will fall out.. this way u just put your hand down and turn the **** and it adjusts there .. makes life easier.. im bout to set this up we did it on a friend of mines 03 gsxr 750 and it took bout 5 minutes to setup.
as for idle and tire pressure.. id say 15psi or lower for slow parking lot riding and idle is all variable. if u want to do no handed sit downs across the parking lot u may want a higher idle to keep it up etc. theres no set formula, go out and spend hours a day practicing and get a feel for what u wanna do.
