Anyone transplanted a 00-03 gsxr 750 engine into an 01-03 gsxr 600? If so how did it work out? I am pretty sure the engine and transes are the same as far as bolting in the bike, but what about the wiring harness, computer, instrument gauges and so on. If you've done it let me know what kind of problems you ran in too, if you have some input, post up!!! I'm not necesarily gonna do this but i'm just curious what all it involves if i do....

 

You have to shave the front engine mounts about a quarter of an inch and have them rewelded. You also need the complete 750 car kit. The only thing that will work from the 600 engine is the radiator. Wiring harness, tbodies, headers, airbox cdi/ecu is all different.

 

No ****, seems like a pain in the ***, that sucks, i thought every thing was the same, or atleast almost everything. The engine mounts seem like the worst part though. Thanks for the info

 

Dude I have a 750 frame and the complete wiring harness with all sensors and cdi box I will let you have it all for $325.. let me know!!

 

I have an 02 gixxer 600 with an 02 750 motor in it, i bought the bike from Rick's motorcycles,i dont know what they did to put the 750 motor in it but it is a sick bike..
