you have to spin the engine to where the timing mark on the fly wheel is in the right place, then align the cam timing marks. get you manual and it will tell you where it needs to be. theres usually more than one mark on the flywheel.
other than that, you cant change ignition timing, just cam timing

i got an f2 so i dont know if theyd be the same, i can check if ya want. when i did mine though, the intake and exhaust marks on each cam have a line on them, they should be straight across when the chain is on them, like this

eye it up with the top of the cylinder head. but my advice to you is wait till tomorrow and call the dealer and theyll be able to tell you. if you get it wrong and try and start it, theres a chance you might end up having a valve smack a piston and then youll be in worse shape

On that same note does anyone know a way around the f4i's bank angle sensor? I tried the drilling a whole with a screw and that didn't work, anyone else know a trick?

Are you talking about the tipover sensor on the front of the bike. If so cut the wires and tie the green and the red striped wire together and that will bypass it.

Awesome, it worked, but on another note.. . how come I get this message when I try and start a new topic?
