can i put in a new bolt or do i have to buy a new piece

ive got a 90 cbr 600f and my d bag friends decided that i dont need to go home and check with u guys how to tension my chain, since ive owned a bike for 3 days, and they didnt crack the axle bolt and snaped the bolt off on the right side of the swing arm that u use to pull the wheel out, my question is can i re-stud the piece (collar, i guess thats what its called), or do i have to order a whole new collar, like 40 bucks, also any tricks on breaking the axle bolt thanks for the help

if you are having trouble getting the nut loose on the axle then get a piece of pipe and put it on your wrench/rachet. it will help you get some leverage.

Public schools are getting worse and worse these days

Are you trying to say that you tried to adjust your chain without loosening the axle nut? And you kept trying to turn the adjuster bolt until it broke off?

I think my brother's f4i has the same type where the adjuster bolt sticks out the rear instead of being threaded into the swingarm in front of the axle like the 954. I'll check his out probably today and if this is the case I'll let you know if it looks like that bolt can be changed out without replacing the whole adjuster piece.

600f may be different though
