my friend needs to know he want to ditch his F4 tail for the F4i, but he cant find any shops that know their head from their ***. 00' Honda CBR 600F4 and 01'-03' F4i have slightly different part numbers, but I'm thinking that is due to small things like cowl and seat mounts being different. Does anyone know if the pattern on the actual frame mount is the same? Can I take the tail off and F4i and slap it on my bike? (with a couple mods for the wireing differences)

 

Yes.

The differences are in the seat latch.. it'll bolt right on, not sure bout the undertray however. But for the most part it's interchangable. You might also have to re-route the wiring stuff, but thats not hard.
