Re: EBC Rotors ?????

EBC'S are good but being they are full floaters they need to be warmed up every time to get the most out of them.
Honestly stock are the best

What are you talking about. Steel rotors such as the EBC Pro-Lites do not require any kind of warm up. I have used three sets on three bikes over four years of racing. Being full floating has nothing to do with it. Most if not all rotors today are, in fact, full floating. The EBC's are made from a ductile iron compound that offers an increase in friction while not being brittle like cast iron. They also do not rust as much.

The only concern with the Pro-lites is that over time the rotors will expand/swell causing the original buttons to become tight causing the rotors to not float. You will then need to change them out for the 10MM orange kit ones that come with the rotors in two seperate baggies in order to obtain the proper clearance to once again float.

The only brakes that need heat(warm up) are made of carbon and you can't get them anyway.

Warming up EBC rotors, I have heard it all.

Re: EBC Rotors ?????

It all depends really. Typically for racing I could go ½-3/4 season before replacing the buttons. Just keep an eye on them. You can feel if the rotor is tight on the carrier by trying to wiggle the rotors between you finger and thumb. If the rotor is stiff and does not move much then it is time to install the new buttons.
