Staggering feet for long 2nd gear wheelies

Folks:

I can rock out 2nd gear wheelies consistently for abotu 3/4 of a mile. However, around 80mph is when I pretty much stop accelrating cuz the balance point is lower at that speed then say 60mph. Anyway, I want to be able to rock those standups for miles, but I wanna do them at around 60 or 65. Obviously, I need to get up to the balance point and keep it there comfortably.

So, going up long hills I can balance it at around 65 mph but then my hill runs out. So I'm trying to get more comfortable hanging out in that balance point on flat ground...

....SO on my way home form the gym I was experimenting with staggering my feet; left foot on passenger peg and right foot on the front peg covering the brake. Only did it a little bit but my first impressions were that it comes up alot more shakier than when my feet are both on the front pegs; also when I'm riding them it feels WAY more twitchy, like the thing is gonna tip over or something.

SO my real question is, is it any easier/safer to play with the balance point with the feet staggered or should I just grow some ***** and keep practicing with both feet on the front pegs? BTW I bounce em up around 35-40 with stock gearing. Thanks guys.

Re: Staggering feet for long 2nd gear wheelies

any time you useback pegs you take alot of pressure off your hands so you dont get fatigue
i really like riding long standups on the rear pegs(both feet like 6 miles)
but its safer 1 back 1 front cause of the brake
i dont like front pegs for distance my arms hurt
