most chains come 120 links, which will be longer than you need, so you have to take some links out, 525 or 530 are what most people run, make sure it's oring or x ring. you might want to change your front sprocket too, that way you can change chain sizes from whatevers stock to 520 or 530.

My SV650,+5 gave me highchairs in 3rd, standups in 5th(just clutch, no bounce) and 130+mph on freeway. Get a good chain, it'll streach

if you go down 1 and up 3, you can keep your stock chain.

Re: srpocket Q's

you cant keep your stock chain, the F4 runs a 530, and sprocket specialists are 525, i put -1+2 in mine about a month ago already want something bigger in back, but make sure you go down in front as well

f4's are 530? that seems excessive...i guess i will get 525 sprokets and gears next...less mass to rotate

Vortex , check em' put. Chain and both sprockets for $130-$150. There are adds on e-bay for this deal as well. Front is 14-17 tooth and rear is from 35-50 something. 520,525 and 530's. It's a good package

I would go with a 525 conversion, stock front sprocket and probably about a 56 on the rear sprocket, when you go down on the front it makes your bike more torqy, it beats up your chain guide, and it also beats up your chain, it just creates a bad angle for the chain to go around. keep all your gear in the rear. later
