If you wanna make your own home videos for yourself and friends to watch...then its not too bad. About $300-750 depending on the video camera (digital is more than Hi8) and maybe $200-300 for a helmet cam. If you have a friend who just wants to watch and take video of you stunting...then just use the camera on a tri-pod and forget the helmet cam. I personally like the "onboard view" that you get from the helmet cam myself...but that's just me and my If you are talking about making super high quality video that is editted and put onto dvd for sale...I have no idea, but I'm sure its pretty expensive. Cheers

YOU NEED A MINI DV CAMERA FOR THE FOOTAGE, AND PINACLE STUDIO 9 FOR THE SOFTWARE TO DO THE EDITING. YOU CAN FIND PS9 AT BESTBUY,CIRCUIT CITY. ETC... I DOES PRETTY GOOD FOR A HOME PROGRAM, IT LETS YOU EDIT, ADD MUSIC,VIDEO EFFECTS AND ALL KINDA COOL S#IT. THAT WHAT I USE FOR OUR DVD[OUTKASTZ; DOWN SOUTH STUNT'N]. IT TAKES AWHILE TO LEARN THE PROGRAM, AND IT EATS UP YOUR HARD-DRIVE SPACE LIKE CRAZY.

I KNOW THERE ARE ALOT MORE PROGRAMS OUT THERE,BUT A FREIND OF MINE BOUGHT IT AND COULDN'T FINGURE IT OUT, SO HE GAVE IT TO ME TO PUT ON MY HARDRIVE AND PLAY WITH IT, SO I DON'T HAVE THE HARE COPY. I THINK IT SELLS FOR 120.00-140.00 RANGE. IT'S NOT THE BEST OUT THEIR BUT IT'S COOL TO START OFF WITH.AS FAR AS IT BEING BETTER THAN STUDIO 8, I HAVE NO IDEA,I NEVER HAD 8, BUT I WOULD THINK THAT IT HAS TO HAVE MORE FEATURES.
