And I want to do an engine swap on my gixxer,
I want to drop a 1997 VW 2.3 turbo diesel in my cradle frame, with some hotter cams. I need extra torque for those low speed wheelies.
Send me a price list and we'll drop our bikes off this weekend.

aren't you worried about the to caliper mount breaking? most of the ones i've seen have been seriously re-enforced.

Re: gsxr hand brake need help
Couldn't you just "tee" the rear line and run a seperate lever on the handlebar ? Seems like a seperate caliper setup is a little much.
You did great work, but it seems a lil overboard just to have a brake.

You can, but you have to get a special banjo fitting from GPTech. Works kinda like a 2 way switch.
Oh ya, when you weld the bracket onto the existing one mount the new one one straight back instead of 180 degrees. Kinda hard to get the back wheel on with them opposite like that.

Re: gsxr hand brake need help
You cant just use a regular banjo bolt. When you apply the hand brake it will bleed back into the other master cylinder. Kinda like when you spread your pads apart if somebody hits the brake while your wheel is off. Tried it.. it doesnt work. The gptech fitting is supposed to work but I havent tried it so I dont know. I havent heard good things about it though. I dunno. And yeah, mount the 2nd bracket a little forward. I have to loosen one of the top rear caliper bolts to get my wheel off.

Re: gsxr hand brake need help
I have the gptech fitting on my 929 it works nice- but you can't use both at the same time (they fight each other). Notice the steel line going into the top of the back brake...that comes from the hand lever.
