When shifting...
I was reading a post where someone stated that they don't use the clutch lever when shifting? Is this something most ppl do or what? (been riding only a month now tho so I'm still new to everything..obviously)

Re: When shifting...
yea, you just preload the shifter(apply upward pressrue) and roll of the throttle just a tad, just like a normal shift when you use the clutch, and it just shifts right into place
Re: When shifting...
As far as I have read and been told by mechanics. Upshifting without the clutch is harmless, hovever downshifting without the clutch is. I always use the clutch to downshift even in a wheelie. I sometimes use the clutch when I upshift in a wheelie. I rarely use the clutch to upshift when on two wheels, but that is very rare the way I ride. :YEAH

Ya, my dad's been riding for years and told me it's fine to shift without the clutch up or down, as long as you don it smoothly, but I'm nervous to do it down, so I was only doing it up for a while, and then tons of people started telling me I'm going to wreck my transmission so I just use the ol' clutch most of the time now,
