If I go -1,+3 on the sprockets, will I have to get a new chain? What setup could I use in order to keep the stock chain? Sorry if this has been covered before, I just couldn't find it.

 

-1+2 keeps stock chain, +3 probably will too. i used to have a -2+4 setup with stock chain, im pretty sure -3 +6 keeps stock too

One more question, how many teeth does the stock sprockets have? I looked in the owners manual but couldn't find it. And does anyone prefer a certain brand of sprockets? Thanks.

 

16th, 45th rear is the stock on the 600s, 17- 42th is stock on the 750's

 

sorry to get off subject, but you reminded me of an oddity that i noticed - the '04 750's went up one in the back i don't know if the front's still 17 or not, but they ('03&'04) pull the same rpm at the same speed in the same gear
