Re: Need advice....

I've ridden dirt all of my life too and I've only been riding street for about 8 months. I've got an 02 750 and the best advice that I've got for you is to just take it slow. These bike are a lot heavier than dirt bikes that you can basically pick up and throw around and stuff like that. Just take it slow and be careful. Good luck.

Re: Need advice....

Start off moderately and get use to using the cluth to bring the wheel up. Once you get comfortable at slower speeds and small throttle movements, you can start to give it more and more throttle to ride them out. Once you get there, you can try coming back to balance point. It's not like getting it up on dirt. Street bikes have a ton more power too so keep that in mind too. Good thing to remember as well is that the pavement hurts a lot more than the dirt does when you go down so take your time and protect yourself.

The technicals of a wheelie are all different and come down to personal preference. There are a ton of threads in here that you can go through to find out what you need to know so try doing a search and you should be pretty well off.

Good luck and biggest of all......cover that rear brake!
