Wheeleing tips-help!

Ive got a 97 yzf 600, and im havein a hard time wheeleing it. It reds at 13, and i take it up to 8 then let off real quick to preload it, then lift back and gas it and it will jump a little but i cant really get it to stay up. should i just pin it harder? i think i hit around 10 when my front drops down. Also, when you clutch it, do you do it when your cruising? do you wrap it up all kinds? i dont think my bike will wheelie if i wrapped it up in second, but i dunnno. help plz.

in 1st gear ( i hope your in 1st) when you run it to 8 and the "power it up" you have the right idea so it must be rider era! if you want to clutch it you can either go WOT then at about 5krpm pull the clutch in le tit rev to about 9 and dup the clutch and you will be looking skyward sooner than you think, at least thats how i do it in my 03YZF 600

I got the same bike as you and when I was getting good, I was doing it by going up to 35 mph in 1st and then getting off quick to preload and then hammering it. I was able to ride it to about 55mph and never got the shift to 2nd on one wheel. then i got sent to iraq and here I sit. Good luck be safe and wear your **** dud

Drop the tire pressure to about 15psi. Stand up with your left foot on passenger peg and clutch it from about 15mph in 1st. Don't waste your time learning to power it up.

It all gets comfortable after a while, when you learn your bike and its feel, you'll get the hang of it! Wear you stuff!
