93 900rr, it will shift in 2nd gear now problem but any gas and it pops out, anyone had this problem, what was it, how hard is it to fix.

 

Your Gears Are Worn. The Gears Match Eachother On The Inside, What Happens Is They Start To Round Out And They Wont Hold The Gear. My Friends Bike Did The Same Thing, I Took It Apart And Had To Replace 2nd And I Think It Matches With 6th. You Will Most Likely Have To Replace The Shifter Forks And The Shift Drum Because They Wear Along With The Gears Wearing Out. Exspensive Job If You're Not Fixing It Yourself . I Think The Parts Were About 300-400dollars. This Was Last Year So Im Not To Sure On The Price

price on the parts are still the same, we just did my buddies f4i, did it our selves cause labor would have been 2300 bucks!!! get a manual, take your time, its not that hard.
