I want to learn how to do the christ...
hey, time to learn a new trick.
i want to know how to perform the jesus christ, the one where you stand on the seat then if you want to jump on the tank, that one, but i want to know what gear to be in, what speed to do it, maybe neutral or any way that it is done, full detail please...
Thank You...

Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...
I go about 45mph, shift it into neutral. The as I am coasting along, I put my hands on the tank and just jump from the pegs while I push myself up. Feet land on the seat and then I stand up pretty fast, that way I don't get the wobbles. Looks like this.
Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...
thanks alot, i've seen it a little slower, but that was what i needed, also a scotts steering damper will help keep the bike steady, straight right, what setting should i use??
Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...
be careful when coming back down. I starting goin down to grab my handlebars and lost a lil balance, grabbed the bars, but my weight went in front of them and I kissed my front tire, legs up in the air and shiat, i mean, i meant to do that
Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...
if you got a throttle lock, lock it on like 35mph, if no throttle lock id either pop neutral at like 40-45 downhill would be the best to keep your speed up. at first id start out by just getting your feet onto the tank or seat wherever you feel most comfortable. then let go of the bars and start standing up slow at first. if you've never done it before chances are your going to scare yourself and not get up the first time, just keep tring to stand a little higher every time. once you get straight up for the first time every time after that gets easier. safe riding and good luck

Also, I'm sure you have coasted in nuetral before, and have noticed the bike will inherently "fall in" quite easily, but when on a steady throttle setting the bike will inherently track more stable. My
is that at least to start learning the "christ air" once you get to a steady speed in which you intend to start climbing up on the seat, probably in 3rd or 4th, apply the choke. This will act like a cruise control (you'll only decelerate slightly) allowing you much more time to get comfortable with the transition from pegs to seat. Have fun... Be safe...

The slower you do them, the harder they are.

all the scientific stuff sounds good but my bike is fuel injected?

The only "scientific" stuff mentioned was the gyroscopic effect of the tires which is by no way effected by fuel injection. If possibly your remark was implying that fuel injected bikes can't run w/the choke... try it & you'll see otherwise. This method has worked w/no problems on my fuel injected ZX6RR, another ZX6RR, a GSX-R600, my carbureted VFR700, F2, F4, GSXR-750 & R1.

Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...
some bike have them some bikes don't.... With fuel injected bikes that do have them like the SRAD Suzuki fuel inj. you adjust it. This is not called a choke. Its called the fast idle as these bikes do not have the "automatic choke" SO, what you have to do is what they said. Go 40-45 and throw it in neutral. You bought a bike that doesn't have it so live with it and just have fun. Quit looking for something that isn't there. SOme bikes areare like your car. When you start it in the morning it revs high on its own. Its the CPU telling it to do that.
You have no choice...And ALL bikes have an idle adjustment screw.
, God, do some of you have manuals for you damn bikes? If not get it and start reading b/c you have alot to learn about bikes. And I am not going to sit here and explain everything and answer ever question folks have....
Just do it....If you do, great, if not then nuetral....Damn its not that hard. It just takes practice.....
Be safe and have fun...

Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...
definately what all the other guys said....make sure your not going to slow or else u'll loose balance...what i would suggest u do is...try to stand up onyour bike when its parked so u can get that feeling..its quite overwhelmeing the first time u try to stand up...

yes the bike is more stable with the idle up or choke on the down side to all of this is if U fall off with the choke or idle up it will keep on goin till it hits something that makes it stop if U let it cost it will slow down and fall over unless of course it hits something. I'm just saying with the idle up it could travel along way to hit something to make it stop. I do it just coasting seen to many bikes run into **** with the idle jacked up. Just my
Re: I want to learn how to do the christ...

Hey man with the R6, just click it into neutral, and make sure you try and position your feet as far back on the front seat as possible.. the wideness of the back of the seat feels stable and comfortable for me. try it out!
