Rolling burnouts?

Ok I need some advice from all you expirenced stunters. What's the deal with rolling burnouts? I want to know what is the best way is to get you tire spinning when you are already moving. I've been told all you have to do is hold in the front break a bit and keep giving it more gas untill the tire starts to spin. I've never done this before and I want to find out the correct way to do it first. Thanks for your help.

thats pretty much it. get going around 5mph or so, and at the same time hit the front brake and roll the throttle.
dont use the clutch, i did once and burned up my clutch in about 10 sec. : , you could try if you want though.

Cool I've got some more question's about it. How fast can you go and still do them safely? I mean do you have to be going 5-10mph or can you do them around 20-25 also? Is there a certian speed at witch you should not attempt them any more?

Use the clutch and put as much of your weight over the front as you can. You pretty much arleady have the idea.

Re: Rolling burnouts?

U have to use the clutch get the tire spinin.
Get rollin about 5 or 10 and grab the front brake and shift your body weight over the bars at the same time and dump the clutch all a once sounds like a lot to do at once but it's really not that hard just takes some time and practice. when U let the clutch out let it out don't feather it or U will burn your clutch up.The only time I've ever started one with out the clutch is when the tire was already showing cords and it would spin like hell anyway.

Re: Rolling burnouts?

Don't grab the brake too much too quickly or you'll lock up and dump. Roll on the brake and the throttle at the same time. I did it once and timed it wrong and the front wheel locked up with the back simply pushing the bike forward. I almost ate s#!t. Lean over the tank a lot and if your tire doesn't seem like it wants to brake loose, give it more gas and you can try to bounce on the rearsets a little to take some more weight off the back.
Just practice bro....you'll get 'em.

This isn't true if U know what your doing and not riding the clutch u wont have to buy a new clutch. this is what burns a clutch up when your dragging the clutch. This causes the clutch plates to get hot thus burning up your clutch. On my F3 clutched it thousands of times burned out 20 or 30 rear tires one clutch never put one in it as far as I know still the factory clutch. My 900rr the same way no problems.
