Question Brakes and rolling long stoppies

Ok, ? for you who roll the triple digit stoppies. Do you get to a point when the bike is at the balance point on the front wheel that you let go of the front brake, enabling a long ***, drag free roll?
thanks!

no normally you get to a NEAR ballance point to where you are hardly using and brake at all but still using some. There might be some out there that are actually using no brake but i dont know of many. Mebbe ryan from dv8 will notice this and post up but i'm pretty sure there is still some front brake usage. i'ver never rolled one out with no brake but then again i'm not doing 500+ ft like some of us.

thanks Tenny, I was rolling some nice ones today on the mountain bike, going like 60 feet, and felt the balance point. I figured you kind of needed some resistance there to keep the bike up, but with some of these tricks I've seen, looks like anythings possible!

some just take mad skils. i know graham from verticle brits is doing no handed where he gets to the ballance point and lets go but i'm pretty sure hes not rolling them that far when hes doing it.

You will sometimes be all the way off the brake....mostly just very light use of the brake after the first couple hundred feet.......

I'm no edo king, but physics tells me the brakes will provide the initial resistance which will be converted to torque (turning force) which will in turn bring the rear wheel up, but after some rolling the brake will start to work against the endo and provide to much friction which will slow the bike down. So yes, I imagine you are going to have to reduce braking at some point. They also use dampers to smooth things out...
