?'s about the 929

wrecked a 12 and the stator cover blew to pieces, piece of the case broke off and all the oil poured out. now i dont think oil should have come out of there. any body else have this problem? need to know if i ****ed up sumthin big. please reply

so - question being if breaking the case is big. Yeah, its not to good! Have to get someone to weld the aluminum back so you can get a gasket back on there.

B from Reckless just did that, had to have the magneto side case welded so the cover would fit right. Ive got the mack daddy welder if you need someone.

i droped my R6 right on the Stator cover and all the oil came out! i was lucky and didnt crack the case, so i put a new cover and gasket on it. filled the oil and have been stunting with no problems.

thats a common problems for 929s, i did it too, and i have seen at least a dozen motors with the same damage, cover blows, and casing either cracks or chips

thanx y'all just didnt think it had a wet stator. but now that i took the biscuit apart i see that it does. just thought it was weird to have oil runnin around the electrical

i argued with someone for months about this until i just finally said **** it and ripped my stator off while they were over at my place to show them that oil is in it.

so ya, you didn't mess anything up, there is oil in the stator.

Oil is non-conductive, so it does'nt matter electrical stuff is submerged in it. And neither is gasoline,i.e. you fuel pump is submerged in it.
