Quick U-turn Trick?
Quick U-turn Trick?
I really don't even know if this is considered a trick, but it sure looks cool. I've seen guys put their left foot down and quickly turn the rear of the bike around so they're ready to ride in the opposite direction. Looks like they're skidding, but they're starting from a standstill. I thought maybe they're doing a quick burnout or something, but that seems to be too much work. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? Anyone know how to do it?
How fast do you need to be going when you do this? I've seen people do it at a stand still. Is it still the same technique?
So basically you're saying when the rear is skidding you give it gas? So keep rear brake on when giving gas? Sounds like you could high side from that. Sorry for the pain in the *** questions. I'm just confused. Thanks.

my rolling version, is like a power slide, when you give it gas, you let go of rear brake obviously and give a little front brake to hold the front down and let the rear spin.
just dump the clutch ,experiment with different rpms', with the bike leaned over there is little chance of the tire hooking up. just remember to pull in the clutch at the end or things can get nasty real fast.

Binder929, your version sounds like it'd be a lot cooler, but the risk of highside seems pretty high.

it requires speed to break the tire loose and spin it around. I usually lay real low into it so if anything goes wrong it lowsides, verses highside.
I've been working on something like that too, but I'm only to the point where I hold down the brake and lean it over and get the bike to turn about 45 degrees... so to get it the rest of the way around your saying I have to completely lose my mind? sounds good, one day I may have the *****, but not today
